Searches and third-party processing

When you search, the submitted username or profile link is used to request public profile details and available story URLs through SaveAPI. SaveAPI receives that request and processes it under its own practices. Do not submit passwords or other sensitive information.

Temporary results and abuse prevention

Search results are cached on our server for two minutes. Expired cache entries are cleaned up during subsequent searches. Hashed network identifiers and request counters help enforce usage limits and prevent abuse.

Session cookie

The viewer uses a session cookie to protect search requests. It does not ask you to create an account or connect an Instagram account. Blocking this cookie may prevent searches from working.

Media and hosting providers

Images and videos load from third-party media hosts. When your browser loads or opens those files, those hosts receive network information such as your IP address. Our hosting provider may also retain standard access logs. We do not promise complete anonymity or control the retention practices of these providers.

When you use Download, our server temporarily retrieves the selected media file from its media host and sends it to your browser. The temporary file is closed and removed after the transfer or request ends. Short-lived download references and recent download counters are stored in your website session to validate requests and limit abuse. Download references expire after 15 minutes, and recent attempts are counted over a one-hour window. Standard hosting logs and session storage follow our hosting provider’s retention settings.

Advertising and analytics

We use Google Analytics 4 to understand website visits and page usage. Google Analytics may use cookies and collect information such as pages visited, referral sources, browser and device details, and approximate location. Google processes this information to provide analytics reports. We do not intentionally send Instagram usernames entered in the viewer or contact form messages to Google Analytics.

You can manage cookies through your browser settings. Google also provides a Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on. Learn more about how Google uses information from websites that use its services.

You can accept or reject optional analytics using our banner. Your choice is saved in your browser's local storage. You can change it at any time using the Cookie settings button. Rejecting analytics does not prevent you from using the viewer.

Contact form submissions

When you submit the contact form, we store your name, email address, selected topic, message, submission time and a reference number in a private folder on our hosting account. We use this information to review and respond to inquiries. A copy is sent to our support inbox using our hosting provider’s mail service. Our inbox is hosted by Google (Gmail), which processes the message as our email provider. We do not send an automatic confirmation email to the person submitting the form.

A session cookie protects the form. A hashed network identifier and submission counters help limit spam; your raw IP address is not included in the saved message. Standard hosting logs may still contain network information.

Messages older than 90 days are removed when a subsequent submission is processed; they may remain longer if no new submissions occur. We can also delete messages manually. Email copies are managed separately in our support inbox and deleted manually when no longer needed to handle the inquiry. Hosting backups, if enabled, may retain copies according to the provider’s backup settings.

Your choices and questions

You can stop using the viewer and clear its cookies through your browser settings. Use our contact form for privacy questions or requests about a message you have submitted.
